As a creative agency, the protection of original works is fundamental to Craft Lot. This Intellectual Property (IP) Policy outlines the rights, ownership, and usage rules concerning the content on our website and our creative deliverables.
1. Website Content Ownership
All materials displayed or accessible on this website, including but not limited to project photographs, 3D visualizations, graphics, texts, branding, logos, layout, and source code (collectively, “Content”), are the exclusive property of Craft Lot or are used with explicit permission from respective copyright holders (such as our clients or partners).
These works are protected by the Copyright Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (including the provisions under the new Copyright Law, Royal Decree No. M/169, which supersedes the previous Royal Decree No. M/41) and applicable international copyright treaties.
2. Restrictions on Use
Visitors to our website are prohibited from:
- Copying, reproducing, republishing, downloading, posting, broadcasting, or transmitting any Content for commercial purposes without prior written permission from Craft Lot.
- Modifying, altering, or creating derivative works from the Content.
- Using our project imagery or designs to promote third-party services or products.
- Scraping or employing automated means to extract our original visual assets.
You may share links to our website or portfolio pieces for fair use purposes (such as inspiration or commentary), provided you credit Craft Lot and link directly back to the original page on craftlot.art.
3. Client Work and Deliverables
For our clients engaging in our Consultation, Interior Design, Art Direction, or Events & Exhibitions services, the ownership and transfer of Intellectual Property will be governed by the specific terms outlined in your individual contract or statement of work.
Generally:
- Craft Lot retains the rights to all working files, preliminary concepts, and unused designs.
- Upon full payment of all associated fees, the final delivered work is licensed or assigned to the client as stipulated in the formal agreement.
- Craft Lot reserves the right to display completed projects, including photographs and videos of the final work, within our portfolio, website, and social media for promotional purposes, unless a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) or specific confidentiality clause dictates otherwise.
4. Third-Party Trademarks and Copyrights
Occasionally, our portfolio may include third-party trademarks, logos, or copyrighted works (for example, in event activations or set designs for specific brands). These elements remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed strictly to showcase the context of Craft Lot’s services. We claim no ownership over these third-party intellectual properties.
5. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that any content on our website infringes upon your copyright or intellectual property rights, please contact us immediately so we can investigate the matter. Contact us via our Contact page with detailed information about the alleged infringement.
